Establishing the refrigeration requirements for your cold room.

These questions are intended for anyone considering building a new cold room to will ensure we provide you with the best possible cold room solution, minimising running costs and load on refrigeration units.


Will need the following information for all rooms involved in your project:

1. Temperature of product entering room.

2. All types of product entering room.

3. Total weight of product in room.

4. How many times in a 24 hour period door will be opened.

5. What is desired temperature of the room.

6. If the product is going in warmer than the desired temperature,

how many hours for pull down to temp and weight of this product.

7. Ambient temperature of room.


If not on the plans already we will need to know the proposed location of the condenser unit. Ideally this will be as close as possible to the room it is servicing and under 10 metres of pipework required.
